Welcome to the website for the Parish of Wantage,

a Church of England parish serving the people of the beautiful, historic Oxfordshire market town.

There are two churches within the parish:

the medieval Parish Church of Ss. Peter and Paul

in the centre of town, and

the Edwardian daughter church of Holy Trinity,

in Charlton.

The parish was among the first in the country to embrace the anglo-catholic traditions of the Oxford Movement

and this character continues to this day. Worship is offered daily to God through word and sacrament,

emphasised by the finest liturgical actions, choral music, incense - all infused with a joyful solemnity.

The Parish Church is usually open to visitors from

10am until 12 noon, Monday to Saturday.

You are welcome to look around and to sit for a while

in this sacred space.

The Lady Chapel is set aside for private prayer.
